About This Dog: This is Louis… He is looking for his forever home, but would be happy with a foster or a sponsorship until he finds his forever family. He is 3 years old and is a stunning Romanian Shepherd. He lived happily in a home before, but unfortunately as he got older he had issues with the other resident dog and his family had to make the difficult decision to rehome him. Being a shepherd, he is nervous of new people, but once he gets to know you he's incredibly affectionate and fiercely loyal. He absolutely loves a “butt” or “belly” rub, and will wiggle his bum into you until you give in and give him bum scratches! He is a very clever boy and really enjoys learning. He already has a long list of tricks, and training words that he knows. Louis is not a huge fan of long walks, he’s more of a plodder with the occasional zoomie. Though he does love a splash in muddy puddles too! He is muzzle trained and loves travelling in the car. If you’re looking for a dog to take to busy places then he's not the boy for you. He would be perfectly suited to a quiet home with experienced owners and a secure garden to play and lounge about in. No other dogs or cats and no children. Ideally minimal visitors as he finds new people scary. Hes a gorgeous boy with a heart of gold, who just needs time and patience. He's made incredible progress with his reactivity since being in kennels, and we would continue to work with you and support him during his time with you, whether that's through foster or adoption.
